Lights out at MoD Lyneham!

Sometimes we’re tasked with slightly more unusual demolition jobs. This was exactly the case at MoD Lyneham recently, it really was ‘lights, camera, action’!

RAF Lyneham was home to the iconic Hercules, as we’re sure many of you know, and we were at the MoD site for airbase lighting removal.

Tasked with taking down six lighting towers, these impressive structures certainly towered considerably above our demolition team!

Ranging from 20m to 30m high, these tall steel structures were quite the sight. In a great example of teamwork, we removed the lighting towers in three sections. All phases were completed and the towers were down in just a single day.

An impressive sixty tonnes of steel were recycled from this job.
